Today is the last day of my 30 blogs in 30 days and for me there is no better way to end than on what was the colour event of the year.
Today at City University London, with a sell out audience, 10 colour experts spoke at the all-day colour symposium ‘Colour For Business And The Professions: Applying The Power Of Colour’.
(Day 30 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
One of the most common questions I’ve been asked during this month of 30 blogs in 30 days is can you tell me if my business brand colours are right?
Naturally as business owners we all want to be attracting our ideal clients not repelling them so it is no surprise this has become a somewhat frequently asked question.
Without doing a full brand analysis which to answer a question like this would require, instead I’m going to set out a several tips you can follow to help you become more aware, and more concious of your colour choices.
(Day 29 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
This book review is very close to my heart. Not only is the editor Janet Best a good friend of mine, there are several fellow Colour Group (GB) committee members were asked to write a chapter, including myself. This book is the first of its kind bringing together 26 colour specialists creating the definitive book of colour.
(Day 28 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
Another great colour question from one of my Twitter followers, Emma Sutton @lightthespark. She asks “Will having pink in my brand put men off? (questions for your 30 day challenge)”
(Day 27 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
One of my Linked in connections, Saskia Jennings asked me the following colour question
” Hi Karen, I love colors! I’m an orange fan. I’m energetic, dynamic and creative…I have 4 speaking events for 50 business people. What colors would you recommend me to wear and why? Looking forward to your suggestions. ”
I was also asked a similar question from @John__Cassidy, known as the headshot guy and a question on facebook about the colours to wear workshops and presentations so it is obviously something people want to know about.
(Day 26 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
‘Green is smack dab in the middle of the spectrum…’ So sings Ken Nordine to his cool little jazz number. And he is right. We can see more tones of green than any other colour.
(Day 25 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
I came across this superb interview on The Why Factor where Dr Anna franklin from Surrey University and Philip Ball, science writer discuss in fascinating detail all about the colour blue – the science, psychology, symbolism and everything else in between.
(Day 24 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
As you will have known last month was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I was honoured to be asked by Pink Ribbon Lingerie to write two blog posts for this very special time.
(Day 23 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
Today’s blog is my surprise call from BBC Radio Wales this morning wanting to hear my thoughts on an article featured in today’s Daily Mail entitled ‘The power of pink: Men who wear shirts of that colour earn £1,000 a year more than those who don’t’
(Day 22 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
If you have been following my last two blog posts you would have seen I took part in the Sleep Art experience, where in Berlin, Paris and London ‘sleep artists’ were tucked up in bed asleep whilst robots worked throughout the night painting our every move.
And now I can unveil my very own sleep art creation.
(Day 21 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
Last night I experienced Sleep Art. Taking place in Berlin, Paris and London ‘sleep artists’ were tucked up in bed asleep whilst robots worked throughout the night painting their every move.
How do I know this… because I was the first one in London to take part in Ibis Hotel Sleep Art experience.
(Day 20 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)
Have you ever thought of creating art whilst you’re sleeping? Well I’ll be doing just that this evening as part of the Ibis Sleep Art experience where my own sleep will be turned into a real work of art.
