Colour & Design events - Summer Exhibition. This opens a new browser window.

Each month I search out inspiring colour and design events, exhibitions and tradeshows  from the UK and around the world.  Here are my finds for June.

pulse, london 5 – 6 june
Nurturing young design talent, Launchpad is an integral part of Pulse’s success. Pulse is the only show where you can discover this unique and dynamic platform,  dedicated to launching the careers of some of the most exciting, up-and-coming designers. Once again, Launchpad will once again feature international companies, allowing you to source from pioneering new designers from across the globe.

design and the modern interior, chichester until 26 june
Robin (1915–2010) and Lucienne Day (1917–2010) are the most celebrated British designer couple of the post-war era. This design & modern interior exhibition focuses on on the furniture designs of Robin Day and textile designs of his wife Lucienne and will fittingly be held in Chichester, the Days’ home town.

summer exhibition, london 7 june – 15 august
The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition is the largest open contemporary art exhibition in the world, drawing together a wide range of new and recent work by established, unknown and emerging artists.

olympia international fine art & antiques fair, london 9 – 19 june
Now in its 38th year, the Olympia International Fine Art & Antiques Fair emains one of the most established events in the arts and antiques calendar, enticing enthusiasts from around the world.

salvo fair, hertfordshire 24 – 26 june
reclaim reuse repeat, what a great mantra!  This is the annual exhibition of architectural salvage, garden antiques and reclaimed building materials. Everything is for sale. The  Salvo Fair is an outdoor event with marquees in the grounds of Knebworth House.

new designers, london part 1 29 june – 02 july
And sneaking in just at the end of June, Now in its 26th year, New Designers is unrivalled in Europe in bringing together such a broad cross-section of fresh, new design talent under one roof.

June is shaping up to be a great month for art lovers.  I especially love the idea of the salvo fair.  Do you have a favourite colour or design event?  I’d love to hear about it.
