This year the UK is awash with celebrations marking Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s amazing 60 years on the throne. Vogue Magazine has put together a colour review of her outfits from the past 12 months. Today just happens to be her 86th birthday, so what better day to look at her year in colour.
The Queen is known for her colourful outfits and as a bit of fun Vogue magazine have reviewed every outfit she has worn in the past 12 months and found that blue is the colour she has worn the most.
Vogue Magazine found 29% of hats, dresses, suits worn by the Queen have been the colour blue – ranging from icy and sky blues, powder, turquoise and cobalt.
And it seems the colour she wore least was black and beige coming in at 2% and 1%. It does appear she has a favourite black handbag.
Does this make blue her favourite colour? It was thought golden yellow may be as she wore this colour to the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
One thing is for sure, blue is the world’s most favourite colour so maybe it is the Queen’s as well.
