Does colour change the way we feel and behave? What Radio 4 DIDN’T tell you
Back in November I was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 as part of their week long Technicolour programme which was aired last week. Each day there were three colour experts speaking about their area of colour expertise from how our bodies create colour, colour language and perception, our reaction to colour, how colour is made and colour forecasting and trends.

Question: “I love this season’s fashion trend of colour blocking but am a little reluctant to wear it for business meetings as I want to be taken seriously and the colours are so bright! Do you have any tips on colour combinations to wear that portray a sense of fun while maintaining professionalism?”

colour & design surgery – kitchen colour conundrum

Question: “My partner and I are in our first home together and have, maybe out of laziness, decided to keep all walls white. You’ll see from our photo of kitchen that the cupboards & appliances are white too. We do love colour and would like to know what we can add to the flat to get some colour without painting the walls?”

and the colour for 2011 is… yellow
Each year ICI ColourFutures™ presents their colour of the year based on one dominant trend. The trend for 2011 is ‘Appreciation’ and the colour they believe “best sums up the prevailing mood, attitude and fashion of the time” is Yellow!

Thursday (25th Nov) saw my colour colleague and I hold two workshops for Target Ovarian Cancer as part of their Wellbeing Roadshow. The theme for our workshops was ‘The Power of Colour, Looking Good & Feeling Great!’

My new website is live!
Over the past several months I’ve ever so quietly been working with Top Left Design on my new website. I wanted a website that could showcase the depth of my work, be interactive and be that little bit special, and I am really happy with the end result.
