colour makes people happy… and so says simon march
Colour Makes People Happy… Well with a store name like that I just had to check it out.
To be honest I’d come across this store back in 2010 reading an article in the Daily Candy blog, but it was only after reading a couple of articles late last year that I promised myself a (long overdue) visit in the new year when I got back from my trip to Australia. So yesterday I made the trip down to East Dulwich (south London) to meet Simon March, the man behind the colour… and it was well worth the visit.
Dreaming in Color – Kaffe Fassett uk book launch
Last night I had the pleasure to meet one of my colour heros who I came across 20+ years ago when I started studying colour in earnest.

social media week – karen haller and constant contact
On Tuesday I found myself at Google’s London campus as a guest of Constant Contact. I was one of their two business case studies to show how I use social media for my business.
This was part of Social Media Week, taking place in cities all over world. Knowing the room would be full of business owners wanting to understand how they could use social media to help their business, I jumped at the opportunity.
on fm radio … interview on the importance of brand colour and identity
Yesterday I had the privilege once again being interviewed by Viv Oyolu, the creator and radio presenter of Dream Corner. The first time was back in September last year. Viv picked up the interview where we left off discussing the importance of colour and identity to a business brand. And this time I was joined by Lynne Stainthorpe from Big Idea, a brand specialist which was great as Lynne and I have worked together.
talk radio europe … interview on how colour psychology is used in branding
Last night I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Kenny Jones from Talk Radio Europe, based in sunny Spain. Kenny had scheduled me in to speak for 20 minutes but before we realised, it was 40 minutes later…

colour in nature… seahorses, colour chameleons of the sea

When it comes to animals being able to change colour, seemingly at will, I just had to know more… what I’ve learnt is just amazing. A friend of mine, Akil Gordon-Beckford just happens to be one of the leading UK Aquarium designers. What he doesn’t know about seahorses isn’t worth knowing. Here’s the abridged version…
in the news… radio interview with dream corner
Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting and being interviewed by Viv Oyolu, the creator and radio presenter of Dream Corner. Dream Corner is focused on women, and Viv’s goal is to spark or rekindle a dream or passion that any woman has had, and inspire them to do something about it.

decorex loves bloggers, an interview with… Tony Crinion, Decorex brand director
In September, London is the definitely the place to be for exhibitions, events, trade shows, talk and lectures on all things interiors. One design event, Decorex International, is making clever use of the run up with their new initiative ‘Decorex loves bloggers’ to find the best online writers.
Having entered this competition myself I was intrigued to find out more from behind the scenes.
Enjoy an interview with… Tony Crinion, Decorex brand director.
